Bray Hill House - The Perfect Family Escape
Private family-friendly mountain retreat with sweeping views of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range in Jefferson, New Hampshire.
Vacation Home • 6 guests • 3 bedrooms • 3 beds • 3 bathrooms
About the House
The 3,000-square-foot Bray Hill House was designed by the architectural firm Mirski and Associates. Patterned after the turn-of-the-century New England shingle-style houses on the exterior, the spacious and completely modern interior features custom craftsmanship, mid-century modern furniture, and an eclectic assortment of artwork. The home was custom-built to showcase its spectacular mountain setting, with impressive views of three mountain ranges and the Mount Washington and Connecticut River Valleys, overlooking the small town of Jefferson. Its prime location in the heart of the White Mountains provides easy access to the region’s many activities and attractions.
Style Notes
Country contemporary and stylish in a secluded, private location. Light, open, and playful yet functional, with sophisticated touches including lilac-colored stair and balcony railings, a floating staircase, and an eye-catching double-chimney fireplace. Stained glass elements sparkle when the house is lit at night. Bright accents add pops of color to a neutral palette. The lower level is designed for gathering, while the upper level offers quiet spaces for rest and reading. French doors, abundant windows, and a wraparound deck bring the views indoors.
Bedrooms
Three second-floor bedrooms comfortably sleep 6, each with a queen-size bed, luxury linens, two roomy dressers, and large closets. Essentials provided include shampoo and conditioner, soaps, bath and hand towels, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. The primary bedroom features an en-suite bath with jetted tub and a private enclosed porch. The other bedrooms share a separate full bathroom. A third bathroom is on the main level.
Chef’s Kitchen and Dining
A well-equipped chef’s kitchen features both an Aga and Jenn-Air range and a Subzero refrigerator/freezer. The large center island and surrounding countertops offer ample prep space, complemented by small appliances including a KitchenAid stand mixer, rice cooker, drip coffee maker, electric kettle, and Instant Pot. Enjoy meals at the kitchen nook with a view, grab a snack at the adjacent wet bar, or gather around the formal dining table with seating for 6–12.
Custom Touches
The home’s dramatic focal point is the stunning see-through, brick, double-chimney Russian fireplace—perfect for cozy evenings. Additional custom details include rich cherry and ash wood finishes, a two-person indoor dry sauna, handsome built-in cabinetry, and wood-beamed bedroom ceilings.
